Week 5 Thing 10 I loved the kitten image generator. The kitten on the left is sooo cute! My avatar took a little while but with the help of coworkers I was able to finish it.

Bloglines Week 4

I still have not received my verification e-mail but I was able to sign up for the RSS feeds. Go figure. I signed up for 3 of the library RSS feeds. The reader's club Rss feed was not recognized or is not really a feed or something is wrong as I could not subscribe to it. RSS feeds will help librarians keep up to date on the latest news and information within the profession. I can see more libraries and librarians using RSS feeds. Perhaps in the far future we could eliminate some newspapers???? I still have to Explore MERLIN and a few useful library related-blogs and news feeds more in depth.

Week 3 Looking at Flickr again

Looking at Flickr program again. I really like this program and intend to use it on my home computer. Checked out some beautiful butterfly photos on Flickr---gorgeous!!!! I would like to have an IPOD someday. Perhaps I could persuade my children to purchase one for me for a combination birthday/Christmas gift or at last resort purchase one for myself. Technology here I come

Week 3: Photos and Images

This Flickr program is amazing and FREE!!. I hope to put some butterfly pictures on my blog. I would like to pursue completing several of the items mentioned on Flickr e.g. librarian trading cards and maps... the technology is a little easier than I thought it would be.

WOW! MY FIRST BLOG

The 7 and 1/2 highly effective habits of life long learners were reminders of attitudes I used when returning to school for my Masters at a more mature age and my belief that like a butterfly one can change at any time. The easiest habit for me is to accept responsibility for my own learning. The hardest for me is having confidence in learning some of the new technology which seems to change on a daily basis, but I am willing to learn and to try.
